An Indian passport isn’t the best thing that could happen to a travel enthusiast, add budget to travel and it can be quite a nightmare to deal with embassies, trying to convince people that you are not a potential immigrant.

The few things that the Indian passport does provide though are easy (and free) access to Bhutan, and of course, unlimited access to the backpacker’s haven that India is.

With this knowledge, I felt obligated to travel to Bhutan while I had a paycheque (homestays in Bhutan are not really pocket-friendly).
